It’s official – the number one EV in Europe is the Nissan Leaf. Sales in Norway where the car was the third most popular overall, helped the automaker to sell 25% more units than the next best seller. But sales in other European countries were very strong also. Sales were 200% above the previous year.
It looks as though 2014 is going to be more of the same according to Jean-Pierre Diernaz, Director of Electric Vehicles, Nissan Europe stated that “January has been a fantastic start to 2014, a year when
[we] will launch [our] second 100 percent electric model in Europe – the Nissan e-NV200 light commercial vehicle.” Sales in January in the UK are already 1000% above the previous year with a greater rollout of CHAdeMO fast chargers which give an 80% charge in 30 minutes. Click for more.
