When we first put up this website in 2009 no production EVs were available in Australia. The Mitsubishi i-MiEV was first to arrive with sales commencing in 2011. A year later the original Nissan LEAF was here. Today (2025) there are over 50 models of EVs currently available in Australia with more makes and models on the way.
